Prosail X Robert King – Launching our first Photography Workshop Retreat

We’ve teamed up with Lonely Planet and Cool Hunting photographer Robert King to bring you this unqiue Photography Workshop Retreat in our stunning paradise home.

Visiting all the Whitsunday highlights + journeying to the outer Great Barrier Reef if the weather permits, this 4 day 3 night workshop retreat will guide you through daily lead workshops on how to perfectly capture a moment in time. Rob will expertly teach you how to compose for different platforms (social media, website, etc.) through the use of drone (sky), camera (land) and housing (sea) for various conditions. He will also show you how to use editing to bring out the most in your photos.

This exciting opportunity has already generated a lot of interest – so secure your booking as soon as you can to avoid missing out!

*Please note the sea lions, surfing picture and starry sky are all examples of Rob’s work from around the world – not the Whitsundays.

About Robert King

Born in Australia, Rob has spent much of his life travelling overseas with his career. He’s been to over 40 countries working with international brands. Most recently, he’s been working with some of the largest travel companies in the world, including Lonely Planet and Cool Hunting.

Photography is Rob’s way of capturing the remarkable places he’s been and moments he’s had, to share it with the world.

He’s now venturing to the Whitsundays where he can expertly guide you on how to do the same – in one of Australia’s most remarkable destinations.

FAQ

Who is This Trip For?
Anyone and everyone! We live in a digital world, and one where it’s extremely easy to start your own digital business. This photography workshop retreat is for both those who want to get better at taking photos for their business or personal socials, but also are just keen to have fun. Rob has been in the field for most of his life with a huge social media presence of 200k +, so he knows what works and what doesn’t.

What to Pack
Please pack in a soft small bag.  We suggest swimmers, towel, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, hat, jacket or sweater, sandals/joggers/thongs for island walk, toiletries, and any prescribed medicines.  There are no shops around the islands, so please pick up important items or treats before arriving at the marina.

Drinks

Broomstick is a BYO vessel, this means you are able to bring your own alcohol onto the tour (no glass please). Filtered drinking water is included throughout your tour, you are welcome to bring a bottle and fill it as much as you like, however for your convenience soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase on board. The crew will keep a tab and you can pay at the end of your tour.

Inexperienced Swimmers/Snorkellers
Don’t worry, we supply swimming noodles and additional floatation as required.  We will do a risk assessment on every guest before entering the water.  While in the water the small tender will be relatively close by.  We also have staff on look-out duty.  In the Whitsundays, the reefs we visit are off the beaches, so it is pretty easy to make way to the beach.

Large Luggage
Large bags cannot be taken on-board.  Storage services are available at our office
