At Prosail Whitsundays, we’re proud to be Eco Tourism certified, dedicated to sustainable practices that preserve the pristine beauty of the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. By achieving Ecotourism Australia Certification status, Prosail joins fellow exemplary operators in terms of sustainability and provision of authentic, high-quality nature-based tourism experiences. The ECO Certification logo means that you are guaranteed to be part of a genuine and authentic nature experience that looks after the environment. The ECO Certification program assures you that certified products are backed by a commitment to sustainable practices and provide high quality nature-based tourism experiences.

We’re also members of the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association and are committed to working with our peers to promote responsible marine tourism.

Our skipper, Thomas Conradie, is an accredited Master Reef Guide. As a reef ambassador, he and fellow crew members share their passion for the Great Barrier Reef, educating guests about its significance and inspiring them to protect this precious ecosystem.

Our Environmental Commitments:

• Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: We’ve eliminated single-use plastics onboard and encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles. We also recycle cardboard, cans, and glass.
• Sustainable Sourcing: We source provisions locally and sustainably, minimising packaging and opting for recyclable and biodegradable options.
• Energy Efficiency: We harness the power of the wind, sailing as much as possible to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
• Water Conservation: We encourage guests to conserve water during their stay.
• Marine Conservation: We educate guests about marine ecosystems and responsible boating practices. We avoid anchoring in sensitive marine areas and use mooring buoys whenever possible.
• Ethical Tourism: We respect local cultures and traditions and promote responsible tourism practices among our guests.
