Wasting no time at all, your 2 day/1 night adventure cruise begins at 8 am! After departure from Abell Point Marina at Airlie Beach, a typical voyage will cover around 90 nautical miles (160km’s).

You will sail across the Whitsunday Passage to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island. Around the southern side of Hook Island, pass through Hook Passage and speed sail your way to Cataran Bay on Border Island. Time to head to the northeastern side of Whitsunday Island to Whitehaven Beach. Take a guided bush walk up to the ever-talked-about Hill Inlet Lookout. Don’t forget to bring your camera as this will be a view you will want to capture forever. Your crew will proceed to find you a nice and protected anchorage site for a night of fun. Wake up the next morning and it’s time for more thrilling sailing back to Airlie Beach. You will pass along the western coast of Whitsunday Island, through Hook Passage and follow the eastern coast of Hook Island, passing the Molle Islands.

Itineraries are flexible, and this itinerary is an example only. Trips will differ depending on the prevailing breezes and tides. Itineraries are planned by the Captain considering the safety and well being of guests and crew. If you have a special place that you would like to visit, they do their very best to see what can be done.

Hammer Sailing Check-in Arrangements
Guests are asked to confirm their travel 48 hours before departure by calling 07 4946 4444.

Guests travelling on Hammer should check-in at the Prosail and Red Cats Reservations Office, 350 Shute Harbour Road Airlie Beach 4802  the day before travel.  The office hours are 7:00 am to 6 pm.  At check-in, you will be provided with a boarding pass.  To speed up the check-in process, please have your tickets handy

What to Pack
Please pack in a soft small bag.  We suggest swimmers, beach towel, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, hat, jacket or sweater, sandals/joggers/thongs for island walk, toiletries, and any prescribed medicines.  There are no shops around the islands, so please pick up important items or treats before arriving at the marina.

Drinks
Hammer is a BYO vessel, this means you are able to bring your own alcohol onto the tour (no glass please). Drinking water from the tap is included throughout your tour, you are welcome to bring a bottle and fill it as much as you like, however for your convenience soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase on board. The crew will keep a tab and you can pay at the end of your tour.

Inexperienced Swimmers/Snorkellers
Don’t worry, we supply swimming noodles and additional floatation as required.  We will do a risk assessment on every guest before entering the water.  While in the water the small tender will be relatively close by.  We also have staff on look-out duty.  In the Whitsundays, the reefs we visit are off the beaches, so it is pretty easy to make way to the beach.

Large Luggage
Large bags cannot be taken on-board.  Storage services are available at our office

We recommend you take out travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss of personal goods and the inability to travel due to weather. Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury or loss due to the actions of passengers that are beyond our control. All cruises are subject to weather and the vessel operator’s discretion. Please allow extra time to travel during the wet season (Dec-May) as we occasionally have road closures due to flooding. At certain times of the year, ‘dangerous’ jellyfish inhabit these waters and passengers should take care for their own safety. Passengers entering the water do so at their own risk and the owner of the vessel will not be liable for any personal injury, illness, death or any other consequences whatsoever of passengers being stung by jellyfish. To minimise this risk, you will be provided with a full-length protective ‘Snorkel Suit’ to wear whilst swimming and snorkelling during the cruise. Accordingly, Prosail shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any injury to person or property which is suffered or sustained by any passenger as a result of participating in any of its sailing adventures, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
