Charter a Prosail maxi for the regatta
Hamilton Island Race Week is held each August and is one of Australia’s largest offshore yacht regattas. Prosail charters its three ex-racing maxis — Condor, Broomstick, and Hammer — to crews competing in the event.

All three are converted ex-racing maxis. Condor has a Cruising Division 1 win at Hamilton Island Race Week and multiple podium finishes in the same division. The fleet has campaigned at Hamilton Island Race Week for over a decade against established competitors including Whitebirds (formerly Bobsled), Helsal 3 (formerly The Office), and Maxi Ragamuffin.
What a Charter Involves
The Prosail skipper and crew run the boat. Guests participate at the level they want: trimming sails, helming, calling tactics, or taking watches. Experienced sailors are given more responsibility from day one; recreational sailors are coached through the boat’s systems in the opening days of the regatta. By the middle of the week most guest crews are largely running the boat themselves, with the Prosail skipper retaining overall command and safety responsibility.
Guests range from first-time offshore sailors to seasoned racers. Some return year after year.
Off the Water
Race Week runs a full social program at Hamilton Island Marina, daily prizegivings, live music, restaurants, and street parties. Charter guests are part of the regatta and have access to all of it.
