Your sailing voyage commences the moment you step aboard one of our sailing maxi sailboats departing for Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach – the gateway to our Tropical Islands and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. These famous 74 Islands are made up of coral reefs, lush rainforest, velvet green covered peaks and unoccupied islands shimmering in an azure sea and all concentrated into a range of only 100 nautical miles.

You will sail past the many islands as our experienced crew navigate from the helm, snorkel spectacular coral reefs, laze on the world’s best beaches and personally meet an overwhelming array of sea life.

Prosail’s new 4 days and 3 nights voyage sailing tours can also consist of a stopover to the OUTER REEF where you will weigh anchor and snorkel amongst untouched reef and aquatic life in some of the clearest and pristine water in the world.

The crown jewel for the Whitsunday Islands is Whitehaven Beach. Made from 98% silica sand this 7km long beach is situated on the southeastern side of Whitsunday Island.

With Prosail Whitsundays you will navigate from Airlie Beach to this iconic white beach. You will get to walk on the natural cool sand and play in crystal clear waters; we also visit Hill Inlet Lookout, a viewing platform. This walking track is accessible from tongue bay and takes around 15 minutes to trek to the viewing platform.

Our Sailing Tours pride themselves on spending maximum time on Whitehaven Beach. Each tour spends at least 4-5 hours exploring the beach, viewing platform and stunning inlet. Our friendly tour guides are always there to answer questions and show you the best the beach has to offer.

In February 2018 well-known adventure sailing company Prosail Whitsundays was taken over by two young local sailors Tommy Gallagher and Josh Wilde.

Two great mates who worked their way up the ranks in the industry, starting out as hosts cooking the meals, on to deckhands trimming the sails and then navigating as certified skippers. They now have almost 15 years’ experience in this style of product between them and are the newest and youngest operators in the area.

Together with their awesome team, their aim is to offer the best overnight experience in the Whitsundays.

We have three 24 metre ex-racing maxi yachts that have been converted to live-aboard which really makes for a super unique way to travel and stay around the amazing Whitsunday Islands. Accommodation is in dormitory-style bunks – it’s not a luxury hotel but it is comfortable and unique. Have you ever slept on a racing boat surrounded by 74 islands?

Each boat has toilets, hot showers and even a kitchen where the crew prepare all your fresh meals on board. Some say it’s the best food in the Whitsundays and we cater to all diets at no extra cost. We have also recently finished refurbishments on all three vessels.

There is no set itinerary for this tour. Each trip will be planned around the weather conditions, tides and the groups desires. Below is a list of what we could offer and where we could go. Please note that we will always visit Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Lookout, multiple snorkelling locations, bushwalk and of course do some sailing!

Sailing and match-racing between the Prosail maxi yachts – can be hands-on or sit back and enjoy the experience

Set sail up to 4 snorkel sites – we choose the best site and timings based on the weather and tides out of the following locations: Blue Pearl Bay – Cockatoo Point – Black Island – Langford Reef – Caves Cove – Butterfly Bay – Luncheon Bay – Manta Ray Bay – Mackerel Bay -Peters Bay – Saba Bay – Cateran Bay 

Explore the North and possibly the South end of Whitehaven Beach, visiting two different lookouts. – Hill Inlet Lookout – South Whitehaven Lookout

Up to 2 bush-walks that range from 20 minutes to 3 hours from the following list:-The Cairn, Whitsunday Island-Whitsunday Peak, Whitsunday Island – Border Island – Chance Bay to South Whitehaven, Whitsunday Island – Chalkie’s Lookout, Haslewood Island – Hill Inlet Lookout, Whitsunday Island – Nara Inlet Trail, Hook Island – Hayman Island Track – Passage Peak, Hamilton Island – South Molle Island

Sunset beach hangs at 1 or 2 of the following: – Langford Island Sand Spit – Scrubhen Beach, Hook Island – Chalkie’s Beach, Haslewood Island

In the evenings, chill on deck with our crew and your new mates, have a few drinks, stargaze and then let the calm water gently rock you to sleep.

This tour sets sail from Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach at 9:30 am and returns on the last day at approximately 3:30 pm. Straight after your tour, keep the adventure alive and meet your crew and fellow passengers for a catch up at the after-party in Airlie Beach – we have a reserved table, drink discounts and meal deals!

Day 2: Beef burritos – Build your own with tortillas, salad, sour cream, cheese and guacamole

Day 2: Tea, coffee & milo with cheesecake

Day 2: Selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit salad & toasts with a selection of spreads, all served with tea & coffee

Morning Snack
